For all you want-to-be sushi lovers the best way to stomach sushi without having to deal with all the extra forgein-ess: Get it with cooked fish (given) and request soy paper. I have found that seaweed paper to be chewy at times and difficult to bite in to. The soy paper has no flavor and tends to disappear into the mix of flavors.

Well, off to happy hour for drinks and sushi! That's my tip.

I agree. I think that's a good way to start. Shrimp Tempura (basically fried shrimp) is great for newbies :)

My husband was hollering about how he can't eat sushi, he don't eat sushi, what is a sushi etc.. Just all types of hater-ation! Soon as he tasted that chicken tempura, he changed his tune. I could barely get a bite of one b/c he was dipping it in the sauce and eating them all! lol! You are right Nicole, tempura is definately a good start!

That's how I got started... I was craving it at one point. The strawberrys on the sushi in the picture looks appetizing.
